Abstract
In the toddler period, almost all children experience temper tantrums and emotions occur because of unmet needs or desires. Even every parent almost gives up dealing with the temperament that appears in children. Parents need to understand and provide solutions when dealing with child tantrums by disciplining the child's behavior and not not emotionally attack the child. So that a positive relationship between parents and children greatly influences the success of passing through this temperament phase. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect positive parents and toodler relathionship towards the incidence of temper tantrums in toddlers. The research design of this study is quasi-experimental design with one group pretest post test approach. The study population was parents and children with temper tantrums in Sobrah Village, Wungu District, Madiun Regency, 64 people and a sample of 22 people. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Statistical Test. The results of this study are that there is effect positive relationship between parents and children on changes in the incidence of temper tantrums in toddlers. Researchers suggest education or other psychotherapy to increase the positive relationship between parents and children with temper tantrums.
