Abstract

The number of fluor albus cases increases every year, one of the causes is poor personal hygiene. Prevention of the occurrence of fluor albus is by good personal hygiene behavior. The purpose of the study was to analyze the relationship between personal hygiene behavior and the incidence of fluor albus in adolescent girls at the Sabilil Muttaqien Islamic Boarding School, Takeran District, Magetan Regency. A correlational study with a sectional cross design. The population of this study was female teenagers (39 people), with the Total Sampling technique, a sample of 39 students was obtained. Collecting data using a questionnaire. Bivariate analysis using Mann-Whitney test (α = 0.05). The results of the study of good personal hygiene behavior 11 (78.6%) experienced fluor albus and 3 (21.4%) did not experience fluor albus, their personal hygiene behavior was not good 12 (70.6%) experienced vaginal discharge and 5 (29.4 %) did not have fluor albus, while personal hygiene was not good 7(87%) had fluor albus and 1(12,5%) did not have fluor albus. Statistical test results show value = 0.004 < = 0.05, then there is a relationship between personal hygiene behavior and the incidence of fluor albus. Bad personal hygiene behavior has an impact on the incidence of fluor albus, but some individuals with good personal hygiene behavior can experience fluor albus, because there is a physiological type of fluor albus. Education about the importance of personal hygiene behavior can change behavior and prevent the occurrence of fluor albus.
