Abstract

Growth in infants is increasing the number and size of cells throughout the body that can be measured quantitatively. To achieve optimal growth and development, a child needs basic needs that must be met. One of these needs is a food's nutritional needs or the needs of the harmonious and balanced. The purpose of this study was to analyze the difference in the growth of infants aged 0-6 months on the basis of breastfeeding in the Village District Mojopurno Wungu Madiun district. This type of research used in this study is a retrospective comparative analytical approach. Sampling techniques Purporsive Sampling with a population of 37 respondents. The independent variable is in addition to exclusive breastfeeding and exclusive breastfeeding, while the dependent variable is the baby's growth. With questionnaire data collection techniques. To analyze the relationship be-withney mann test. Data processing using the baby's weight percentages, data processing using the breastfed infant who uses observation sheets and kusioner. The results showed that the number of 17 infants who received exclusive breastfeeding as follows BB less 16 (94.04%), baseline 79 (464.71%), and BB over 7 (36.28%). And 17 infants who received breast milk following the MP-less BB 42 (247.07%), baseline 57 (335.29%), Bb over three (17.64%). Based on test results Mann-Withney known p <ᾳ so Ho rejected and H1 accepted, each difference in the growth of infants aged 1-5 months of exclusive breastfeeding and the use of MP-ASI with a significance of 0,05. Based on these studies should be for parents to keep providing breast milk exclusively at the age of 0-6 months, and complementary feeding over the age of 6 months.
